The Arc-Angel Michael is a sculpture first: the figure of the archangel, modelled in more than 3 kilograms of 18K solid gold and set with over 400 carats of diamonds and precious gemstones. Created as a single piece for El Septimo Geneva, it is a high-jewellery work rather than an object of everyday use. It belongs in a private collection, a palace majlis or a gallery-like home, and it is a gift for an occasion that happens once.

Details: A team of master artisans from several countries spent more than a year designing, engineering and crafting the piece by hand. Every feather of the wings and every contour of the figure is worked and engraved in detail, and the gems are set to follow the movement of the sculpture. It should be displayed rather than handled often: a lit cabinet or a plinth away from direct sun suits it best, with a soft, dry cloth for dusting. Viewing is by private appointment at our Downtown Dubai boutique.
