Maccarrone La Habana 150 Count Wood Marquetry Vertical Humidor
La Habana stands upright, which gives about 150 pieces a small footprint and a tall, graceful presence. Its exterior is framed in dyed and precious wood veneers inlaid by hand by the Maccarrone family, furniture makers for five generations, and the interior is lined in Spanish cedar. In an apartment or a compact office in Dubai, this vertical humidor puts storage and display in one piece.
- Material: Dyed and precious wood veneers in hand-inlaid marquetry, high-gloss hand-polished lacquer, Spanish cedar (cedrella odorosa) lining
- Capacity: About 150 in a vertical layout, depending on size and arrangement
- Mechanism: Passive humidifier and hygrometer
- Format: Vertical
- Country of Origin: Italy, Tuscan workshop
Details: Each La Habana takes months: the graphics are laser-cut, then every veneer is assembled by hand and the lacquer polished to a high gloss. A passive humidifier and hygrometer keep the upright interior balanced; check the reading weekly in an air-conditioned room and refill when it drops. Stand it on a level surface away from vents and direct sun. A soft, dry cloth keeps the finish bright.
