Maccarrone Skull 40 Count Resin and Wood Humidor

Maccarrone Skull 40 Count Resin and Wood Humidor

The Skull is the boldest voice in the Maccarrone Masterpiece Collection: a sculptural skull rendered in hand-finished resin over a wooden body, glossy and unmistakable. Beneath it sits a working desktop humidor, lined in Spanish cedar and sized for about 40. It suits a private office, a design-led apartment or a friend whose taste leans to the dramatic.

• Material: Hand-finished resin exterior over wood in a sculptural skull design, high-gloss hand-polished resin, Spanish cedar (cedrella odorosa) lining
• Capacity: About 40, depending on size and arrangement
• Mechanism: Passive humidifier and hygrometer
• Collection: Maccarrone Masterpiece Collection
• Country of Origin: Italy, Tuscan workshop

Details: Drawing on five generations of furniture making, the Tuscan workshop finishes the resin by hand over several weeks, polishing it to a deep shine. The compact interior uses a passive humidifier and a hygrometer within its cedar lining, so a quick glance tells you when to refill. Air-conditioned rooms dry out quickly, so check it weekly. Wipe the resin with a soft, dry cloth and avoid solvents, which can dull the gloss.
